We used aluminum which was easiest to get from a pan for it was stiffer and less likely to short circuit. We made the panels alternating between positive and negative. Because we did not use distilled water we had a gel form at the top of the water which did not reappear when removed and filtering of the water.

Atempt 3 at H2 Generator

This was our third attempt, we used two tennis ball canisters, one for the generator and one as a bubblier which had soap water in it so as we could see the amount of hydrogen we were actually creating.

Second Attemt at a H2 Generator

This was the second attempt:
It was run off this old power supply, using the yellow and purple wires for out and black for return.

The foam at the top was actually a gel which formed because we were not using distilled water
